Every diamond we use at President Jewellers is individually selected. We work exclusively with GIA-certified stones, assessed by the most rigorous independent grading laboratory in the world.

The 4Cs

The 4Cs — cut, colour, clarity, and carat — define a diamond's quality and character. Understanding them helps you make a confident, informed choice.

Cut

Cut is the most important of the 4Cs. It determines how a diamond interacts with light — its brightness, fire, and scintillation. We recommend Excellent or Very Good cut grades for the best brilliance.

Colour

Diamond colour is graded on a scale from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). Stones in the D–F range are colourless; G–J are near-colourless and offer excellent value.

Clarity

Clarity describes the presence of natural inclusions. Most are invisible to the naked eye. We recommend VS1–SI1 clarity for the best balance of quality and value.

Carat

Carat is a measure of weight, not size. Two diamonds of the same carat weight can look very different depending on their cut and proportions. Our consultants will help you find the right balance for your budget.

Natural vs lab-grown diamonds

We offer both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Both are chemically identical real diamonds — the difference is origin and price. Lab-grown diamonds offer exceptional quality at a fraction of the cost of natural stones.
