You don't need to be certain about your ring size to order from us. We size with you, not by you — and every ring comes with complimentary resizing for life.
Free resizing for life
Fingers change with temperature, seasons, and time. We account for that as standard. Every ring we make can be resized by us, free of charge, for as long as you own it — no deadline, no limit on the number of resizes.
To arrange a resize, email sabby@presidentjewellers.co.uk and we will send you an insured return label. The work typically takes 2–3 working days from when it reaches our workshop.
For bespoke and engagement rings — your size is confirmed before we cast
Engagement rings and made-to-order pieces are never cast in metal based on a guess. Your size is confirmed physically, on a sample of the actual ring, before any precious metal is poured.
- You choose a starting size online — your best estimate is enough.
- We craft a silver sample of the ring in that size, with the same proportions, same weight, and same feel as the final piece.
- You try it on at home. If the size is right, we cast in your chosen metal. If it is not, we adjust the sample and try again — at no cost.
- Only once you have physically confirmed the fit do we cast the final ring.
This is why we are confident asking for a starting size online. The silver sample exists for exactly this reason.
For wedding bands and eternity rings — we send a sample first
Wedding bands and eternity rings are not cast in metal on a guess either. You choose your size at checkout, and before we hand-finish the final ring, we send a sample in that size for you to try.
- You choose your size at checkout.
- We post a sample of the ring in that size — same dimensions, same feel.
- You try it on at home. If it fits, we proceed to make the final ring. If not, we adjust the size and try again — at no cost.
- Only once you have physically confirmed the size do we finish the final ring.
If for any reason the fit is not right when the final ring arrives, we will still resize it free of charge — and again any time after that, for as long as you own it.
Measuring at home
If you would like a starting point before you order, you can measure at home in two ways.
Method 1 — string or paper
- Cut a thin strip of paper or string, about 10cm long.
- Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger — not too tight, not too loose.
- Mark where the strip overlaps and measure the length in millimetres. This is your circumference.
- Match it to the UK size chart below.
Method 2 — existing ring
If you already have a ring that fits the correct finger, measure its internal diameter in millimetres and match it to the chart below.

We craft to every major sizing system. Find your size in the column you know — UK and Australian sizes use the same letters; US is numeric; European (EU) is the inner circumference in millimetres; Japan uses its own numeric scale.

Sizes are approximate — equivalents are rounded to the closest standard size in each system. Half sizes and sizes outside this range are available on every style — let us know and we will accommodate.
Tips before you measure
- Fingers swell slightly in warm weather and at the end of the day. Measure when your hand is at a neutral temperature.
- If you are between two sizes, choose the larger.
- Wider bands (6mm and up) sit more snugly — consider sizing up by half a size.
- Knuckle wider than the base of the finger? Size for the knuckle, not the base — the ring needs to clear it.

What we mean by bespoke. Made-to-order rings are cast specifically for you. We share a CAD render and post a silver or wax sample so you can approve everything before we cast in metal. Once cast, the ring itself can't be returned — but the stones always can.
